Why teams choose Grid Bay
Everything you’d get from Google, plus the part nobody hands you
Licences are the easy bit. What actually decides whether a Workspace rollout goes well is migration planning, DNS hygiene and someone answering the phone at 2am. That’s the part we own.
Better value than buying direct
Reseller agreements let us structure your licence mix around how your team actually works — full seats for staff who live in the inbox, lighter allocations for shift and field workers, and no seats sitting idle after someone leaves.
Annual licence review included
Migration run by specialists
Mail, calendars, contacts, shared drives and permissions move across with folder structure and history intact. We run a pilot group first, then cut over the rest on a schedule that avoids your busiest days.
Rollback plan on every cutover
Deliverability configured properly
We publish and align SPF, DKIM and DMARC at your registrar, verify every sending source your business uses, and move the DMARC policy toward enforcement once the reports come back clean.
Ongoing DMARC report monitoring
24/7 support by real people
Email, phone and shared Slack or Chat channel, staffed around the clock by engineers who can actually open the admin console. Named account manager, escalation path to Google when it’s warranted.
Median first response under 15 minutes
Google Workspace editions
Pick the edition, we’ll handle the rest
Every edition below includes custom business email at your domain, Gmail, Drive, Meet, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Chat. The differences come down to storage, meeting features and administrative control.
Business Starter
A clean, professional foundation for small teams getting off consumer email.
Not sure which edition fits? Send us your headcount and how your team works — we’ll map it out with you. Mixed editions across departments are perfectly normal, and we manage the split for you.
Why buy through a reseller
One partner instead of six browser tabs
Buying licences online takes four minutes. Everything after that — the migration, the DNS records, the admin policies, the invoice your finance team can actually process — is where the weeks go. Grid Bay absorbs all of it.
“They ran the whole cutover on a Saturday.”
Monday morning, 340 people opened their laptops and their mail was simply there — folders, calendars, shared drives, signatures. We had two questions all week, both answered inside ten minutes.
RDRavi DeshmukhIT Director, Northquay Labs
Migration from Microsoft 365, Gmail or IMAP
We audit the source tenant, map users and aliases, and move mail, calendars, contacts and files with folder hierarchy and sharing permissions preserved. Distribution lists become groups, room resources get rebuilt, and delegated mailboxes keep their delegates. Legacy archives come along too.
Admin console configured to your policy
Organisational units that mirror your reporting lines, groups and shared inboxes, mobile device rules, sharing boundaries for external collaborators, and password and session policies. You get documented settings, not a default tenant with everything switched on.
Deliverability that survives inbox filters
SPF flattened to stay inside the lookup limit, DKIM signing enabled and published, DMARC started at monitoring and walked up to enforcement once reports look clean. We inventory every system that sends on your behalf — CRM, invoicing, helpdesk, marketing — so nothing silently fails alignment.
Gemini AI in Workspace, switched on sensibly
Drafting help in Gmail and Docs, summaries in Meet, formula and analysis assistance in Sheets. We enable it per organisational unit, brief your team on what data it can and can’t reach, and set guardrails before anyone starts pasting client information into a prompt.
Local billing and invoices finance will accept
One consolidated invoice in your own currency with the tax details your accounts team needs, on the cycle that suits you. Add or remove seats mid-term and it’s reconciled on the next statement instead of turning into a card charge nobody can explain.
A dedicated account manager who knows you
The same named contact from onboarding onward — someone who remembers your domain quirks, your renewal date and which director hates being asked to reset a password. Quarterly reviews cover licence utilisation, security posture and what’s coming next.
How it works
Three steps from first call to steady state
Most teams under 100 people are fully live within two weeks. Larger or more regulated environments get a phased plan, but the shape of the work stays the same.
Step 01
Scoping call and quote
Tell us headcount, what you’re on today, where your DNS lives and any compliance requirements. We come back with an edition recommendation, a migration approach and a written quote — usually within one business day.
Typically 30 minutes
Step 02
Provision, configure, migrate
We stand up the tenant, verify your domain, build the org structure and publish DNS records. A pilot group migrates first so you can see real mail land, then the full cutover runs on an agreed evening or weekend window.
Pilot first, always
Step 03
Handover and ongoing support
Your team gets short onboarding sessions and a one-page reference. We stay on for daily support, licence changes, new-starter provisioning and renewals — with quarterly reviews so nothing drifts.
Support never ends at go-live
Security & deliverability
Locked down at the domain, not just the mailbox
Most email incidents don’t start with a clever exploit. They start with an unaligned DNS record, an admin account without a second factor, or a shared drive left open to anyone with the link. We close those doors during onboarding and keep checking them afterwards.
Quarterly posture review with a written findings list — and the fixes applied, not just reported.
Offboarding runbook so a departing employee’s access, sessions and forwarding rules all end the same day.
Incident escalation path into Google support, opened by us on your behalf when severity warrants it.
SPF, DKIM & DMARC
Published, aligned and validated across every sending source, then walked from monitoring to an enforcing policy once reports are clean.
2-Step Verification
Enforced org-wide with security keys or passkeys for admins and finance, plus recovery paths that don’t create a back door.
Data loss prevention
Rules that catch card numbers, tax IDs and client identifiers before they leave in a message or a shared file.
Admin & device controls
Least-privilege admin roles, session limits, context-aware access and mobile management on company and personal devices.
What clients say
Migrations people actually remember fondly
A representative sample from teams that moved to Google Workspace with Grid Bay over the last two years.
“
We came off an ageing Exchange setup with fifteen years of mail nobody wanted to lose. Grid Bay mapped every shared mailbox before touching anything, and the archive landed exactly where they said it would. Our finance team didn’t notice a thing, which is the highest praise available.
PAPriya AnandHead of Operations, Tidewater Foods
“
Our quotes were landing in spam and two developers had spent a month guessing at why. Grid Bay found four sending systems missing from our SPF record, fixed the alignment and had us at DMARC enforcement in six weeks. Reply rates recovered almost immediately.
As a clinic group we needed retention rules and audit trails that would stand up in a review. They configured Vault, wrote the policy documentation for us and trained our practice managers. Twelve sites, one shared calendar system, no drama.

Questions
Answers before you ask
If yours isn’t here, send it over. A real engineer replies — usually the same person who’d run your migration.
It depends on your edition mix, headcount and commitment term, so we don’t publish a single figure that would be wrong for most people. Request a quote and we’ll share pricing tailored to your team size, along with a breakdown of exactly what’s included — licences, migration work and ongoing support are all itemised, with no setup surprises later.
No. We run a full sync while your current system stays live, so mail keeps flowing to the old platform right up until the MX cutover. After the switch we run a delta sync to catch anything that arrived during the window. Your original mailboxes stay untouched for an agreed period afterwards as a safety net, and every cutover has a documented rollback path.
For a team of 10 to 50, expect three to seven working days from kickoff to cutover, most of which is background data transfer rather than anything you need to attend. Between 50 and 300 users we usually plan two to three weeks with a pilot group first. Larger or regulated environments get a phased plan by department. The disruptive portion is nearly always a single evening or weekend window.
Yes — that’s the normal case. Everyone keeps the same address, aliases and signatures. We verify your domain, publish the MX and authentication records at your registrar and can manage multiple domains and subdomains within one tenant. If your DNS is somewhere awkward, we’ll do the record changes with you on a screen share rather than emailing you a list of values to paste.
Email your account manager, or use the admin console yourself — whichever you prefer. New starters can be provisioned with the right organisational unit, groups and device policy in minutes. Leavers get the full offboarding runbook: access revoked, sessions terminated, forwarding rules removed and their data transferred to a manager. Seat changes are reconciled on your next invoice.
No. Grid Bay is an independent authorized Google Workspace reseller and Google Cloud Partner. We’re licensed to sell, provision and support Google Workspace, and we can escalate to Google support on your behalf, but we’re a separate company. In practice that’s the advantage: you get an accountable partner who knows your setup, rather than a general support queue.
